“Bad vibrations“ eliminated with VibroChecker
For pristine sound, a manufacturer of hi-fi amplifiers relies on air springs from ACE. This effectively eliminates disruptive ambient vibrations that enter the demonstration room from a neighbouring workshop and disturb the listening experience. The PLM-1 air springs, which have a low natural frequency of 3 Hz, are used as a bearing in the hi-fi rack for decoupling. ACE was able to prove the effectiveness measurably with the company's own app VibroChecker PRO. In the meantime, the manufacturer offers the high-end amplifiers optionally with the air springs and the app from ACE to the end customers.
Matching Applications
Industrial Shock Absorbers - MC33 to MC64
Carriage constructions for sport robots Serving a similar purpose, several ACE dampers are installed in Jada, the triple-axis, free-moving badminton robot. In order for the badminton robot to be capable of playing, it must be able to change direction in the shortest time possible. Jada is designed therefore to brake at a maximum of 30 m/s². For this task, linear modules are limited by the use of the industrial shock absorbers MC4575. Miniature shock absorbers and profile dampers are also installed at the location of the ““racket hand““. In all cases, the modern ACE machine elements serve to protect the end positions of the construction.
Profile Dampers - TUBUS TR
Running board damping for electric scooters TUBUS profile dampers make driving an e-scooter a real experience. The footboard of an electric scooter should be dampened to enable the driver to experience a comfortable ride even over potholes and other bumpy surfaces. Ideally, the characteristic line should be furnished with a soft increase in force over a long stroke. The elegant look of the scooter as well as the folding mechanism designed to save space have not allowed the use of feasible damper solutions up to now. Inferior alternatives such as rubber dampers made of polyurethane or simple steel springs could not be considered from the start. The TUBUS profile damper TR52-32H offered the perfect solution with its compact construction design paired with progressive damping action.
Profile Dampers - TUBUS TA
Profile dampers and compact sliders: sheet metal working up to 1 million strokes For the forming, folding, punching and cutting of steel sheets, voestalpine Camtec GmbH wanted to realise new compact slides that achieve service lives beyond 1 million strokes. The company was looking for compact dampers that could absorb the greatest possible forces when integrated into the tool as an end stop. After a consultation and sampling process, the choice fell on ACE TUBUS profile dampers.
Profile Dampers - TUBUS TR-H
Profile dampers make excellent electric scooters even better For the second generation of their unique, because foldable and three-wheeled e-scooter, the engineers of scuddy GmbH & Co. KG aimed for even more individual damping than the previous model. This electric scooter already uses our TUBUS profile dampers and SLAB cut-to-size shock absorption plates. After consultations with us and successful sampling, scuddy now uses TUBUS of the basic types TR64-41H-OS, TR68-37H-OS or TR79-42H-OS in the new e-scooter Premium V2, depending on the weight class of the owners.
Rotary Dampers - FDN
Protection systems for motor-driven cooker hoods For ergonomic handling, modern cooker hoods can be driven by a motor into an up position and then down again. When driven downwards, an AC load can result in a total loss through current being fed back into the voltage source. One of the tasks of the ACE FDN rotary dampers is to prevent this. The modern machine elements are also built to provide protection against motor failure. Sliding the hood down too quickly could lead to further costly damage to the hood and the ceiling console and even cause personal injury.
Rotary Dampers - FYN-U1
Opening and closing mechanisms for flap doors on furniture For his carpentry exam, an aspiring master carpenter created TV/bar furniture in which the bar element is provided with a rotatable 90° bar hatch. FYN-U1 rotary dampers from ACE make opening and closing the hatch easier, but also protect it against overloading of the end positions. The brakes also prevent fingers becoming trapped. The so-called limited rotary dampers still find sufficient working angle up to a maximum of 115°. For other cases, ACE has fully rotational rotary dampers available.
Hydraulic Feed Controls - VC25
Inclination compensation for handbike sports sleds Usual handbike sport sledges have problems in the curves even on wet roads. In order to be able to make speed on ice not only on the straights, a Dutchman further developed his special construction for this special vehicle. With standard gas springs, it used to be able to go 14 km/h in curves. With a gas-filled oil brake from ACE, this speed increased by 50 percent. This is due to the possibility of compensating for an inclined plane in the horizontal area with a combination of oil brake and gas filling. This is because the seat of his handbike tilts by 10 to 15 degrees when cornering.
