Precise and gentle braking of carriage constructions in badminton robots
Serving a similar purpose, several ACE dampers are installed in Jada, the triple-axis, free-moving badminton robot. In order for the badminton robot to be capable of playing, it must be able to change direction in the shortest time possible. Jada is designed therefore to brake at a maximum of 30 m/s². For this task, linear modules are limited by the use of the industrial shock absorbers MC4575. Miniature shock absorbers and profile dampers are also installed at the location of the ““racket hand““. In all cases, the modern ACE machine elements serve to protect the end positions of the construction.

Profile Dampers - TUBUS TR
Running board damping for electric scooters TUBUS profile dampers make driving an e-scooter a real experience. The footboard of an electric scooter should be dampened to enable the driver to experience a comfortable ride even over potholes and other bumpy surfaces. Ideally, the characteristic line should be furnished with a soft increase in force over a long stroke. The elegant look of the scooter as well as the folding mechanism designed to save space have not allowed the use of feasible damper solutions up to now. Inferior alternatives such as rubber dampers made of polyurethane or simple steel springs could not be considered from the start. The TUBUS profile damper TR52-32H offered the perfect solution with its compact construction design paired with progressive damping action.
Profile Dampers - TUBUS TR-H
Profile dampers make excellent electric scooters even better For the second generation of their unique, because foldable and three-wheeled e-scooter, the engineers of scuddy GmbH & Co. KG aimed for even more individual damping than the previous model. This electric scooter already uses our TUBUS profile dampers and SLAB cut-to-size shock absorption plates. After consultations with us and successful sampling, scuddy now uses TUBUS of the basic types TR64-41H-OS, TR68-37H-OS or TR79-42H-OS in the new e-scooter Premium V2, depending on the weight class of the owners.
Hydraulic Feed Controls - VC25
Inclination compensation for handbike sports sleds Usual handbike sport sledges have problems in the curves even on wet roads. In order to be able to make speed on ice not only on the straights, a Dutchman further developed his special construction for this special vehicle. With standard gas springs, it used to be able to go 14 km/h in curves. With a gas-filled oil brake from ACE, this speed increased by 50 percent. This is due to the possibility of compensating for an inclined plane in the horizontal area with a combination of oil brake and gas filling. This is because the seat of his handbike tilts by 10 to 15 degrees when cornering.
Rotary Dampers - FRT-G2
Damping system for moving parts in playing card shufflers ACE rotary dampers ensure the quiet shuffling of playing cards. Software controlled playing card shuffling machines such as this one are used throughout the world and are equipped with rotary dampers from the FRT-G2 product family .Maintenance-free and ready for installation, they ensure a low-noise stop of a plastic wedge located in the device and moving upwards before inserting the card set. The dampers can be applied to suit your requirements; clockwise, anticlockwise or in both directions; and they are just as reliable as the open and close slides in high qualitiy DVD or CD players.
Industrial Gas Springs – Push Type - GS-8 to GS-70
Motion optimisation of accelerators in racing cars The versatility of ACE's industrial gas springs is demonstrated through their use in a racing car. Installed on the accelerator, they compensate disruptive pedal movements through the backflow of nitrogen when the throttle valve is opened. This compensation is achieved through the gas spring building up slight counter pressure. The driver’s foot is thus stabilised in critical situations and can hold the desired pedal position more consistently, despite the vibrations from driving. This results in measurable improvements in both safety and in lap times in comparison to the previously used screw springs.
Industrial Gas Springs – Push Type - GS-8 to GS-70
Positioning system for start bars on ski jumps The addition of two GS-22 industrial gas springs (push type) from ACE make training on a ski jumping ramp much easier. With their help, moving mobile launch bars is child’s play. Located at the starting tower, the launch bars are a necessary part of the ski jump. The bars regulate the flight curve by adjusting launch speed and length, which constantly changes due to different performance levels and wind influences. These gas springs have a pushing force as low as 200 N, which means ski jumpers do not need to use much muscle power when closing the launch bar, and are able to tackle jumps with a high level of concentration, precision and speed.
Rotary Dampers - FDT
Steering stabilisation for toboggans and sport vehicles In this innovative tobogganing vehicle called Pistenbock-Cross rotation dampers from ACE come into action. These help to effectively damen unexpected steering turns and smooth the overall process to improve driving comfort and safety. Two FDT rotary dampers are mounted counter-rotating with the use of spacers underneath the steering stool. A square square engages in the rotary dampers, thus enabling the steering behavior to be optimized. The design prevents sudden tearing of the steering in the event of a collision with larger obstacles and offers the driver greater safety on impassable stretches of road.
