Faster sorting with Miniature Shock Absorbers
For a particularly space-saving design of its new split tray sorters, the Dutch company Equinox MHE has reduced the curve radii. ACE's MC150 Miniature Shock Absorbers are used to maintain the high speed in the curves.In continuous operation, these self-adjusting, maintenance-free types have proven to be ideal retarders after tests. In addition to reliable braking of fast movements in curves, they are characterized by maximum service lives of up to 25 million load changes thanks to ACE's rolling diaphragm technology.

Airports endeavour to shorten air passengers’ waiting times as much as possible. This aim is met with a solution especially developed for luggage transport systems and has solved previous damping issue. A combination of SLAB damping pads and TUBUS TA profile dampers from ACE is used. Transport carriers with a weight of up to 120 kg can now be moved at the desired conveyor belt speeds.

In test operation, the tensile forces required for the design proved to be oversized due to deflection pulleys and varying weight ratios when lowering and lifting the loads weighing up to 8 tonnes. Thanks to the valve technology of our gas traction and gas compression springs as well as the know-how of our sales engineer on site, a remedy was successfully found.
